Harper's First Birthday Party

We had Harper's first birthday party last weekend. It was a pink lemonade theme. We had about 25 people in our house so we were certainly busy. Harper loved the party. She was so content and just watched everything happening around her. She didn't really care about the presents, but sure enjoyed hanging out with everyone.

Homemade lemon cupcakes with cream cheese frosting made by Mommy.

Yummy lemondade!

Here are her monthly photos I took. We made a banner out of all of them.

I ordered her birthday shirt from Etsy. So cute!

This is so cute. Holding Uncle Scott's hand.

I really wanted to make her a cake for her first birthday. So here is my attempt at a vanilla cake from scratch. I think it turned out okay. Harper enjoyed it so that's all that matters to me.

She started by just swiping the frosting and sprinkles. The cake was so cold from being in the refrigerator we ended up getting out a fork and helping her break off a piece to eat.

Do you want some cake cousin Jesse?

Mommy ended up opening the presents. Harper was too busy entertaining everyone and wandering around the house.
