In With the Old

My mom is in the process of moving and back at Christmas break when we were home visiting her we went through some old boxes and crates in the attic. I found all of my old Barbies and yearbooks, my old baby blanket, and some baby clothes from my sister and me. I took a box of Barbies and some baby clothes just in case we had a girl someday and now it looks like our little girl will get to use some of her mommy's clothes and toys. I just love that thought!

Here are some of the clothes. Early 80's...gotta love!

My grandma who is a wonderful craftswoman and artist made the crocheted items.

Ode to My New Diaper Bag

I saw this adorable Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag when I was Christmas shopping at Nordstrom last November. I wasn't pregnant at the time but we were trying and so I made one call to my  BFF Kelly to ask if it was crazy that I buy it and she said no. What do you know, 3 months later we were pregnant! It is so adroable. I love the vintage looking print and not to mention it can be worn as a backpack or sling. I am a backpack girl. I hate carrying a big ole purse. Don't you love???

Garage Sale Season!!!!

I have grown up going to garage sales with my mom and grandmas. We are a family who loves to hit up some G Sales! Not only can you find great deals but you are helping out good ole Mother Earth by recycling and reducing the need to produce more goods. A couple of weekends ago I hit up some G Sales with my mom, my sister, my friend's Courtney, and Courtney's daugher Elyse (who is freakin adorable by the way). I only spent about $50 and made a haul. Check it out!

As you can see a girl can never have too many clothes or accessories. At the time I didn't know we were having a girl so I ended up buying clothes for boys and girls. I filled up a grocery bag for $5 and these were the girl items I chose.

Next up...toys!

You can see our brand new pack and play we got for $15 and a diaper genie a lady gave me for free! We also got a changing pad and a Bumbo with a tray.

I also got these Aden and Anais swaddling blankets for $0.75 each! That is a steal because these babies are expensive.

I cannot wait to go to more garage sales this summer. Especially now that I know I can go girl crazy!

20 Weeks and the BIG REVEAL!

I am officially half-way through my pregnancy journey. Overall I would say that I have been loving it. We had our 20 week ultrasound yesterday and we found out we're having a girl! When we went in our tech. asked us right off the bat if we wanted to know and I told her very enthusiastically, YES! That was the first thing she looked for and Baby Girl showed her the goods right away. Tal was a little bummed, he wanted a boy, but he got over it quickly. Baby Girl looks really healthy and boy is she a mover! This girl did not stop squirming the entire ultrasound. She was really kicking, which by the way, I get to enjoy every night before bedtime. She is most active then. The tech. was having a heck of a time trying to get all of the shots because our little wiggle worm moved around so much.

I think we have a feisty one on our hands folks because today she was not very happy with us poking around at her yesterday. I was nauseous all morning. I guess that was her little way of saying "I don't like that." My mom says that reminded her of my sister, who we all know, is a little firecracker. Maybe Baby Girl will be like her Aunt Alisha.

I have a ton of photos to share from the ultrasound. Enjoy!
